We are now looking for a Product Specialist to join our Dermatology Launch team with a specific focus on Psoriasis.


Psoriasis (PSO) is a chronic skin condition with long-term inflammation which can have a big impact of patients’ quality of life. AbbVie has now successfully launched a new product which has the potential to be a best-in-class agent that is differentiated in many ways, so our focus on a patient-centric unmet need is critical.


As a Product Specialist Dermatology you are responsible for transferring the PSO value proposition by visiting stakeholders and being the direct in field point of contact to the medical stakeholders / medical DMU. You are able to engage with field experts on a scientific level and combine this with commercial initiatives.

You will join a driven, enthusiastic team reporting to the National Sales Manager Dermatology. You will cover South West Netherlands. 

Your key responsibilities

Customer selling and relationship management
  • Deliver expected sales performance and beyond.
  • Utilizes innovative approaches and resources to gain access to difficult to see customers and elevates results and outcomes to the brandteam
  • Proactively and continuously aspires to serve customer needs in a give-give approach

Clinical and market development

  • Continuously strive to gain market intelligence/dynamics and developments.
  • Demonstrates in depth intelligence around disease, treatment, product and market.
  • Has a deep understanding of the emerging multi-stakeholder environment and share new insights within in-field team and brand-team.
Territory management
  • Proactively initiates, develops and implements a growth/account plan to develop in current position and prepare for future opportunities.
  • PSO lead and responsible for the accounts/collaboration and cooperation with the infield and brand-team
  • Accurately identifies customer position on PSO treatment. Effectively targets and tracks resources to maximize sales opportunities.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably science/medical/business.
  • Solid sales experience with proven track record of success within the pharmaceutical or health care industry.
  • Driven, goal oriented, innovative mindset.
  • Experience as a project lead in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrates in-depth product, therapeutic, competitive and scientific knowledge. Maintains knowledge of market challenges and opportunities.
  • Identifies and understands policies, protocols and the political environment of institutional accounts that may affect the work of e.g. the physician.
  • Preferably knowledge or existing network in hospitals
  • Knowledge of the healthcare environment and evolving landscape
  • Dutch and English command in speech and writing.
