  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
  • Manager responsible for the maintenance and operations of the learning management system which supports the global clinical development research organization; including creating, implementing and maintaining training modules
  • Develops course descriptions, learning models and training programs utilizing information from Subject Matter Experts to deliver training in an effective manner while overseeing workflow management for design and development projects
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the training curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment to business objectives.
  • Effectively communicates training gaps, metrics and project progress. Establish networks and relationships within and across functions to define training needs and current training progress within the organization.
  • Participates in global, cross-functional initiatives
  • This position will evaluate the training needs to ensure compliance to SOPs and regulations. The impact of non-compliance increases re-works, possible delays in clinical programs and possible loss of clinical data.
  • This position triages and assesses functional training projects and makes suggestions to project scheduling and feasibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or ex-US equivalent) is required, typically in nursing, scientific field, instructional design or training & development. An Associate’s degree/R.N. (or ex-US equivalent) with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Must have 6+ years of Pharma-related/ clinical research related/Training related experience; 2+ years of experience preferably with clinical research, regulatory, compliance and/or quality control or training/ adult learning.
  • Possesses good communication skills, demonstrated leadership abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstration of successful coaching/ mentoring in a matrix environment
  • Competent in application of standard business procedures (SOPs, ICH, Global Regulations, Ethics and Compliance).
  • Preferred experience with instructional design principles and adult learning tools
  • This is the first level position (of 2 levels) within a job family which is responsible for the training supporting clinical research.
  • This position will report into a director level and may have direct reports and responsibility for matrix managing their assigned team
