• Graduate studies: PharmD, MD, PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but candidates with a graduate degree (i.e., Masters) in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience will be considered.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience; expertise in Dermatology is a strong asset.
• English must be at advanced level, oral and written. Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians and other healthcare decision makers.
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical and scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company.
• Demonstrated expertise in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls applicable to this research.
• Ability to comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments.
• High customer orientation.
• Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite and all related new technologies in relationship to the role and the work environment.
• Comfortable and efficient working in a matrix structure environment.
• This position may be based in Ottawa or the Maritimes.
• Availability and willingness to travel about 50 % of the time within Canada or internationally.
• Valid driver’s license and passport are required.
